Facing fears, raising funds, and making a difference

Through the Sedulo Foundation, we support children and young people living in poverty, providing essentials like school supplies, food vouchers and gifts. Each year we reach nearly 20,000 children and young people. We believe success means more when it’s shared.

This year has seen our team step well outside of their comfort zones, all in support of causes close to home. From leaping out of planes to stepping off stadium roofs, the challenges have been memorable.

The Back to School appeal

This summer, the Sedulo Foundation’s Back to School Appeal provided support for families struggling with the cost of living by delivering practical essentials. Across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, London and Birmingham, the campaign delivered more than 50,000 items. With school supplies, uniforms, and food packs over 1,000 children would start the year with confidence.

For the young people supported, these items help to build self-esteem and independence, and offer a better start to the new term.

Skydiving for Sedulo Foundation

In March, around 15 of us flew above Blackpool for a 15,000-foot tandem skydive, the highest jump in the UK. For many, the real challenge began before the plane doors opened. Some of the group had a fear of heights, so climbing to altitude knowing what lay ahead was a test in itself.

The atmosphere in the aircraft was a mix of nerves and adrenaline, but things were kept light by the brilliant Black Knights instructors. But then, the moment came, time to step into the surprisingly cold air to feel the rush of free fall.

With clear blue skies, the views stretched for miles, from the coast to Blackpool Tower and the fairground rides below. It was unforgettable, and we raised over £12,000 for the Sedulo Foundation.

Over the edge at Anfield

While the skydive captured the thrill of free fall, Ethan from Sedulo Wealth faced his own challenge when he abseiled down the Main Stand at Anfield.

Just as it had for the skydivers, this gets the adrenaline pumping. Ethan’s effort raised vital funds for Break The Mould, a youth group making a real difference in local communities. It was another reminder of how courage, in all its forms, can be channelled into positive change.

What it’s all about

Skydiving and abseiling to school bags and uniforms, these can all make a difference. Every penny raised helps the Sedulo Foundation continue its work to support young people across the UK.
